Benjamín Bascuñán is an associate in the Energy & Natural Resources and Public & Regulatory Law practice areas. He specializes in advising and negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs), handling arbitration disputes in the electricity sector, and representing mining clients in projects with high energy demands. Additionally, his practice focuses on Water Law, including applications and procedures for the constitution of water rights, changes in intake points and diversion structures, defense against third-party objections, establishment of Water Communities, negotiation of water supply contracts, water strategy development, and proceedings before the General Water Directorate (DGA). He has experience in regulatory and public law litigation, as well as in natural resources matters.
